STEM Camp - 2025 (Cancelled)

Overview

This initiative outlines a three-day STEM Camp designed to ignite curiosity and innovation in students from underserved communities across Sri Lanka. Targeting 150 students and 20 teachers covering all provinces, this initiative is grounded in experiential learning, inclusivity, and long-term impact. Hosted at the Mahaweli Centre and the CIDA Auditorium, from November 29 to December 01. The camp is tailored for Grade 9 & 10 students from schools with limited lab access for Science and IT. It integrates engaging DIY STEM activities, mentorship, innovation challenges, and a train-the-trainer component to empower both students and educators. The initiative reflects a strong commitment to advancing national STEM goals, encouraging equitable access to learning resources, and nurturing a culture of grassroots innovation.

Target Audience

- 150 students (Grades 9–10) from all provinces of Sri Lanka
- 20 science/technology teachers selected from the same schools
